Huchuy Qosqo  & Machu Picchu

This beautiful trip goes through the Inca Valley in the Andes and offers several attractions all along the way for nature lovers. You will walk on the Inca trail with a wonderful view on the Pisac Valley , Lamay, Calca, Urubamba and see a lot of healing plants which were used by the Andean people as their main medicine. You will also see many llamas and sheep on the way that are part of various farms and communities, a great opportunity to interact and learn about people’s daily lives. To enjoy your journey better, we will bring mules to carry your bags until the end of the trip.

DAY 1: Cusco-Patabamba-Huchuy Qosqo

After having breakfast at your hotel, we will come get you and start our journey at the community of Patabamba (3800m). We will get ready and start hiking along the trail of the last ayllus for about 3 hours before arriving at Pukamarca (4100m), a little Inca archaeological site. Lunch will be taken there, followed by some time to rest before starting to walk to the archaeological site of Huchuy Qosqo (3600m), which will take about 1h30 on the Inca trail going downhill. We will then follow the valley throuhg the mountains and get an impressive view over the Pitosiray Sawaseray moutains, located in the Vilcanota cordillera that reaches the jungle part of Cusco district.

DAY 2: Huchuy Qosqo – Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes

We will wake up early the second day to see the sunset and have a delicious breakfast before exploring this wonderful Inca construction. Later on, we will start walking for about 3 hours to the Lamay valley where we will stop for lunch and then leave to Ollantaytambo. We will take the train from there to Aguas Calientes and stay overnight in a hotel, to relax and have dinner before reaching the Golden City the next day.

DAY 3: Aguas Calientes – Machupicchu – Aguas Calientes – Cusco

The last day of our adventure will start early in the morning, by taking breakfast at the hotel and leaving with the bus at 5:30 am to the ruins. There is an other 30 minutes with an other bus to get inside Machupichu.

Our tour with the guide will last 2 hours maximum, which means that we will only visit the most important places. But no worries, you will have free time after to explore the city before taking the bus back to Aguas Calientes. We will then take the train to Ollantaytambo where the touristic bus will bring us back to Cusco.
